Deloris R. Mathews

Deloris R. Mathews (nee Campbell), 77, of Wappapella, Mo., died March 6, 2013, in St. Louis.
She was born Jan. 5, 1936, in East St. Louis, daughter of the late Frederick Sr. and Bernice Campbell (nee Leonard).
She was engaged to be married to Charles Akin; he survives.
Other survivors include her children Linda (Keith) Lennox, Deborah (Jeff) Battin, Daniel Mathews (Connie Melching), Dale Mathews Jr., and Michael Mathews (Sue Huebner); daughter-in-law Linda Mathews; son-in-law Douglas Akin; grandchildren Tera (Ronnie) Harrelson, Angela (Todd) Eschmann, Alicia Wilson, Clay Lennox, Nikki Mund, Andrea Mathews, Travis Mathews, Kyle Breitenstein, Kailah Akin, Tiffany Battin and Perry Battin; and great-grandchildren Paige Barker (fiancé Matt Strohmeier), Chandler Harrelson, Chase Harrelson, Marley Harrelson, Samantha Eschmann, Abby Eschmann, Brenden Eschmann, Sophia Whitmore, Cody Lennox, Kimberly Lennox, Cameron Lennox, Kylie Riggs, J.J. Lennox, Michael Lennox Jr., Benjamin Lennox, and Carter Ganns.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Robert “Odie” Mathews, daughter Sandra Akin, infant grandson John Jennings, brother Frederick Campbell Jr., sister Patricia Hurd, and brother-in-law Melvin Hurd.
Visitation and funeral services were March 7-8, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo, Pastor Matt Friz officiating.
Interment followed at St. Augustine Cemetery, Hecker.
