One-vehicle crash Monday near Columbia

Columbia police, fire department and EMS personnel responded shortly before 4:55 p.m. Monday to a single-vehicle crash on Route 3 northbound at Frontage Road just south of South Main Street. 

Police said a 2012 Nissan sedan driven by Keegan Litke, 28, of Kansas City, Kan., was traveling north on Route 3 and attempted to make a quick turn onto Frontage Road per his GPS directions. He missed the turn and traveled off the roadway. Litke was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County for treatment of a back injury. Possible charges are pending. 

The crash scene was cleared before 5:30 p.m.
