Week 1 of the 2014 Pigskin Pick’em Contest is now officially in the books.

Taking home first place was the R-T’s very own, Corey Saathoff, with an impressive 12/16 correct picks! Seven more participants correctly picked 10/16 winning games and tied for 2nd place. What a fun way to kick off the NFL season.

We’d like to remind everyone that each week the contest resets, so every week you have another chance to take the top spot and win a prize.

Week 2 picks can be made starting today!

JV’s Downtown Bar & Grill will be giving away a BBQ Slider appetizer for two, for the person who picks the most winning teams this week!

How to sign up?

The fastest way to get into the contest is to send an email to: ryan@republictimes.net – he will send you an invite from the contest, which will give you directions on how to get in.

Or head over to this link: http://rtpool.football.cbssports.com

When you’re there, it will ask you to register. It will also ask you for a password to join the Republic Times pool, which is: rtpool205

Once registered and signed in, you can head over to your “picks” page, and make your picks for the upcoming week. You have until 5 minutes before the game to make your pick. If you fail to make picks, you will obviously not accrue any points.
