Police searching for man in Waterloo

Waterloo police and Monroe County Sheriff’s Department deputies, including their K9 dog, are searching for a man on foot in the area near Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo, following an incident in which the subject raised a gun in a crowd of people during a party on Kasey Lane and allegedly made threats.

The man, described as a white male in his mid-20s standing 5’9″ tall and wearing a dark long sleeve shirt and camoflauge pants, drove away from the party and the blue Dodge truck he was driving was found parked near the church.

The man was believed to have been communicating with police via phone at some point, but the search for him continues as of 9:27 p.m. Saturday.

UPDATE: Police took the man into custody without incident at 9:45 p.m. in between Wayne’s One Stop and Town & Country Auto.
